With over 15 years of experience in non-profit, corporate, and agency environments, I am an accomplished art director skilled in leading creative teams to deliver visually compelling and strategic solutions. I specialize in telling engaging stories through design, with expertise in areas such as digital and print media, logo design, and photo art direction. In addition to my design skills, I bring experience in project and color management, content development, and teaching graphic design. Known for my strong communication and leadership skills, I excel in fostering collaboration and driving successful project outcomes from concept to completion.

A summa cum laude graduate of Drake University, I received a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication with a double major in magazine journalism and media graphics with an emphasis in graphic design. I was an assistant art director at the American Bar Association Journal and an associate art director at Midwest Living magazine before staying home to raise my family. During my break from full-time work, I taught an introductory course in digital media at my alma mater and contributed my design talents on a volunteer basis. I started my freelance design business in 2016 and started working full-time for Mittera Group in 2018 to art direct two bi-monthly magazines for clients and then moved to Grey Dog Media as a managing art director for Hy-Vee Seasons magazine.
